PowerSchool SIS Downtime for End-of-Year Processing Jul 15, 2026 08:00-12:00 EDT

PowerSchool will be unavailable Wednesday morning (July 15) while the End-of-Year (EOY) process is running.

The EOY process uses a significant amount of server resources and, on occasion, may fail. If that happens, we will need to restore the database from the backup completed Tuesday night.

To help ensure the EOY process completes successfully, please do not access PowerSchool Wednesday morning until you receive notification that the process has finished. Accessing the system during this time uses server resources, and if a restore is required, any work completed after Tuesday night's backup would be lost.

We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience and cooperation.

Scheduled - PowerSchool is performing system maintenance on PowerSchool SIS, which includes a full VM restart to complete OS patching. During the maintenance window, the application will be accessible most of the time. However, customers may experience intermittent connectivity.

Scheduled - PowerSchool is performing scheduled maintenance on Schoology Learning to complete Aurora RDS Engine Upgrades. The maintenance window is Sunday, July 12, 2026, from 1:30am to 5:30am.

During this time, Schoology Learning will be unavailable for most of the maintenance period as we perform backend service upgrades and security enhancements. We appreciate your understanding and apologize for any inconvenience.

Issue Affecting YouTube Content Playback
Resolved - From Vivi: "YouTube playback via Signage and Play Content has been restored, however some minimal disruptions remain.

"VDA signage playback is still impacted and will be addressed in an upcoming VDA release.

"Additionally, as a result of the fix, seeking through videos via the Vivi client no longer works. This will be reviewed, with a follow up fix planned in an upcoming release to improve play content on the client app."

Investigating - From Vivi: "We are currently aware of an issue affecting YouTube content playback on Vivi devices. This issue appears to be caused by a third-party service, and users may experience YouTube content not loading or playing as expected.

"Our engineering team is actively investigating the issue and monitoring the situation. We will provide further updates as soon as more information becomes available.

"We apologise for the inconvenience caused and appreciate your patience."
